Incredible landscape! Loving the colours too.

I’ve been meaning to pick up some filters for ages, this time of year the sun is so harsh during the day you need to bring the sky back. Also want to experiment more with ND filters too.

A little bit of trickery going on with the colours.

I’ve been playing around with split tones. My obsession with blue and yellow continues (even if it’s in a less obvious way like a gradient map). My Lightroom experience is starting to inform my Photoshop experiments: It’s all starting to come together in my head.

I know what you mean about backlogs, it is a bit weird posting photos from 6+ month previous, but there you go. I too subscribe to the ethos of better to have photos tucked away than not at all. Looking forward to seeing the photos and more posts like this one.

I’ve been reading up on XP2 but I could only find the Kodak equivalent in town. This stuff still has an orange mask like film so some of the negative have a colour cast.

The Ilford film is supposed to much greater latitude than ‘normal’ b&w so you can push and pull the ISO. I think I shot this roll at 400 but I’m going to pull the next roll so I can use a wider aperture.

Actually, I really need to finish this film so that I can try and replace all the light seals and the shutter cushion thingy.

Try Ilford XP2 if you want strong contrast, plus it is C41 processing too if you want to be lazy like me
